
Will Smith is one of the famed actors of all time. He graced the silver screen with much pride to his solid shape body and manly abs. Some of his movies like I am Legend, iRobot and Ali really showed what this man is made of- lots of toned muscles and abs to die for! But Will Smith is not always at this good shape, take a look at one of his past movies, like Independence Day, and you would see the dramatic change in his body. That great shape was a result of training six hours a day for about 5 days a week. To get that solid look, he did a lot of weight lifting. And not only that, he would do sprints and serious boxing. One paparazzi even caught him running outdoors in his combat boots amidst the snow! With that hard work, Will Smith gained 35 lbs and shoots up to 220 lbs. with an oh-so muscular and solid body.
In 2004, in his movie iRobot, Will Smith dramatically lost some muscles he has in Ali. So to get ready for the role of iRobot, he trained back again with his personal trainer Darrel Foster. The Will Smith workout program consists of a 5 day training focusing on one or two body parts in every session. He does some serious sprinting and ran a full 5 miles a day. He also does boxing twice a week. For the Will Smith diet, junk foods are a big no-no. He would take a lot of high protein foods and carbohydrates for muscle repair. In just three months of training and workout, Will Smith reached 385 lbs., which is heavier that his weight in Ali. He also slowed down in his food intake and took out the carbs in his diet. By the sixth month of the program, his fat percentage was down to 7.5% from 12%.
In I am Legend in 2007, he dropped down his weight to 190 lbs. He attests that it is easier for him to lose weight than to add on some weight. Will Smith in I am Legend, is one of his best body shapes ever. You can look at Will Smith shirtless or with a shirt and he still looks great. He has a body with great proportions, even tat the age of 39.
